OUR VALUES

Professional Development

Through Delta Sigma Pi, our brothers practice professionalism to better prepare ourselves for the fast-paced, ever-evolving business world. This is developed and practiced through our professional events, hosting guest speakers from companies in various industries, holding workshops, and more. We pride ourselves on establishing supportive friendships to foster both professional and personal success, as well as finding opportunities to mentor and be mentored by experts in our respective fields. Beginning with pledging and continuing throughout a member’s life, Delta Sigma Pi provides endless professional development opportunities.

Past events have included interview, case study and LinkedIn workshops along with resume reviews, internship panels and guest speakers.

Thank you to our professional speakers!

Leadership

With numerous opportunities to build leadership skills through training, conferences, and holding local or national offices, Delta Sigma Pi members are prepared to be leaders and continue to grow their leadership skills throughout their careers.

Our executive committee is made up of 17 different positions that play equally vital roles in the progress of the fraternity. Holding an officer position is a great opportunity for our brothers to enhance the workplace sills they will need in the business world. Click here to see our current executives for 2024!

Besides the executive board, Brothers can still get involved by joining committees, creating clubs, holding their own events, and much more.

Service & Philanthropy

Our chapter is committed to giving back to the community. Through support of cultural and civic organizations, we seek to impact the lives of individuals and families near and far. We are also involved on and off campus to benefit the community.

Some organizations we’ve collaborated with include:

  • Ronald McDonald House (our national philanthropy!)

  • American Red Cross

  • Protect Our Breasts (POB)

  • Stache Strong

  • UMass For The Kids (FTK)

  • Chabad House at Amherst

  • Amherst Senior Center

  • Medfield Animal Shelter

  • Craig’s Doors

  • Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA)

Brotherhood

With 101 undergraduates in the chapter and 285,000+ brothers worldwide, we see ourselves as a family. Delta Sigma Pi gives members endless opportunities to expand their network throughout their college career while maintaining strong relations with alumni. We value and respect each other and push each other to grow and succeed.

Whether on campus or off, we hold brotherhood events with each other and with other chapters in our region as well. The bonds we have in Deltasig are not just 4 years, but 4 life.

Some past brotherhood events:

  • Intramural sports

  • Fitness classes

  • Apple picking

  • Bowling

  • Hiking

  • Movie nights

  • Semesterly retreats

  • Semesterly formals

Diversity & Ethics

As the nation’s first co-ed professional business fraternity, our brothers and our fraternity as a whole are dedicated to diversity. Our training and events focus on fostering respect by developing considered, sound ethical standards that are inclusive yet principled. We welcome members who meet our professional standards regardless of demographic -  race, ethnicity, creed, religion, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status. Each of our members is valued and respected for the unique contribution they make to the organization.

Starting in the Spring of 2021, our chapter has implemented a Director of Diversity & Inclusion, as well as a Diversity & Inclusion Committee. The Director position facilitates and educates the chapter on D&I manners in our community and university campus through internal and external events, and collaborate with organizations (university, student RSOs, and third party) to promote diversity and inclusion.
